What it is

CPI (FRED CPIAUCSL, seasonally adjusted) is published monthly by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, usually in the middle of the following month.

Why it matters for liquidity

Inflation sets how much room central banks have. High inflation pushes them to raise rates and shrink their balance sheets, which drains liquidity; falling inflation gives them room to ease. The Pro dashboard also has PCE and core PCE, the Fed’s preferred measures.
